Ingrid Dusselberg was born in Italy, but spent her childhood years
in Germany before migrating to Australia with her husband Klaus.
Soon after arriving in Australia, she discovered clay as her medium,
which became a lifelong love affair. She completed her formal
ceramic studies in 1989.
Ingrid participates in many group shows and had her last solo
exhibition at Bird's Gallery, Kew in November 2014. She feels that
her rich artistic life must include sharing her knowledge through
'I started my artistic career by making functional vessels, which
gradually became more sculptural. I now make stylised, figurative
and conceptual work, which has at it's core my concerns for a
diverse, healthy and sustainable balance on our planet.'
