Tan Mui San

 
 
 


Tan Mui San was born in Cameron Highlands of West Malaysia. After graduating from Nanyang University of Singapore, she worked at the Monetary Authorities of Singapore. Mui San studied Chinese painting at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore).

Mui San specializes in Chinese painting, oil painting and mixed media. Her paintings feature a wide variety of subject matter, including landscape, figure drawing and still life. Mui San enjoys travelling, and her travels through the world have provided much material for her paintings. Visiting famous museums and art galleries in Asia, Europe and North America has also given her the opportunity to expand her artistic horizons and widen her personal perspective.

Mui San held her first solo exhibition in the MICA Building Singapore in 2008, where she also published her first art collection, “Oil Paintings by Tan Mui San”. Her works have been shown in many art exhibitions in Singapore and other countries, and have been included in many public and private art collections, including the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs Art Collection.

Mui San is a member of the Society of Chinese Artists, Singa City Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Society, Xin Hai Calligraphy Society, and NAFA Alumni Association.
