今年四月， 世界女艺术家理事会在北京中国美术馆举办“她的彩色空间系列八-世界女艺术家联展”百余名来自世界各地区的女性艺术创作者齐聚北京参加开幕庆典。
出席开幕式的女诗人- 谈诗把<大画中国-百名女画家捐画慈善展览>草拟计划书交给我，虽然我们刚认识，但是我很欣赏这位有理想和热忱的文艺青年，
认为应该支持她所策划的公益活动。另人振奋的是画展结束那天，谈诗已接收到外国女画家捐出的8幅作品。
5月12日，惊闻震灾发生，天灾难测，身为海外华人，祖国蒙难，忧心如焚。作为一名女性艺术文化推动者，感觉除了哀悼之外，必须要为灾区人民伸出援助之手。
和谈诗，赵蘅等讨论过后，大家一致认同认应该把原本的<大画中国-百名女画家捐画慈善展览>
， 改成《中外女画家"5.12"地震灾后重建》特别行动。
此项活动能成功落实有赖于中国国际友好城市联合会夏国珠秘书长的鼎力支持和鼓励；中国人民对外友好协会、中国国际友好城市联合会，
世界女艺术家理事会和北京边缘人网络技术有限公司联合主办这项公益活动。
儿童是国家未来的主人翁，用爱心重建灾后儿童的心灵，提大型玩具给灾区儿童，
以玩耍的方式让儿童获得许多安慰和力量！
此次捐画的外国女画家共22
位，中国女画家
40
多位。这一善举表达了中外各地的女画家们心声。
中国奇特乐集团支持提供价值150余万元人民币的露天大型玩具（30套）代表中外女画家送到四川、甘肃、陕西三省，支援灾后重建的儿童福利院和幼儿园灾区儿童福利院。 江苏东海海龙水晶工艺有限公司报效水晶心给所有捐画的女画家和志愿者。

《中外女画家"5.12"地震灾后重建》特别行动捐赠仪式在中国人民对外友好协会礼堂举行。中国国际友好城市联合会副会长李小林莅临主持兼致词。她高度评价并赞扬了中外艺术家与企业家的善举，向他们表示衷心的感谢，并向参加捐赠的企业家、女艺术家代表颁奖。其他受邀致词的人士有世界女艺术家理事会理事长—源子玲博士，捐赠企业代表奇特乐集团有限公司董事长章金飞、东海海龙水晶工艺品有限公司董事长吴兆娥，受灾地区代表甘肃省外办主任郭颖纯、陕西省外办主任张宝文、及四川省驻京办事处办公室主任杨朝宾。中外女画家代表、志愿者等100余人应邀出席。捐赠仪式由友城联合会副秘书长夏国珠主持。

This year in April , at the opening day of
Her Presence In Colours VIII- Beijing 2008, I met Tanshi, the
coordinator of "100 women Charity Event to support the Poor in China"
and received a copy of the draft of her proposal for the event. I
admire the lady who is a talented poet with a compassion to help the
poor female students in China. I am also very touched and impressed by
the response of some of women artists who made up their mind to donate
their works for charity. Two weeks after
we returned to home, we were shocked to hear the news about the
Sichuan Disaster in May 12, 2008.
As an overseas Chinese and a women artist, I felt that I have to do
something to support the Sichuan Earthquake. Tanshi and Zhao Heng felt
the same too and we decided to Change the theme to:
China & International Women Artists Special Action In
Response to Sichuan Earthquake & Donated Artworks Exhibition” and our
aim is to
to support the Sichuan Earthquake Children “.
Chinese People's Association For Friendship
with Foreign Countries, the
China International Friendship Cities
Association and International Women
Artists Council jointly organized this charity event incooperation
with Beijing Bianyanren Network Sdn Bhd.

an international playground
equipment supplier donated 30 set of fun park equipments for the
children of the Sichuan disaster.
Donghai Hailong Crystals Co.,Ltd.
generously
donated the souvinirs- heart shaped crystal for all the donors

The official ceremony
for the presentation of donated artworks and fun park toy facilities
was successfully launched at the grand hall of the The Chinese
Chinese People's Association For Friendship
with Foreign Countries. Ms Lee Xiao Lin, the Vice President of
The Chinese
Chinese People's Association For Friendship
with Foreign Countries and the
China International Friendship Cities
Association was invited to speak and to witness the presentation
ceremony. Amongst the other invited speakers were Dr. Yuen Chee
Ling, President of International Women Artists Council, Mr. Chang Jin
Fei, Chairman of QITELE Group
Co. Ltd.
. Madam Wu Zhao Er, the
Chairman of
Donghai Hailong Crystals Co.,Ltd.
and the state executives from the Sichuan Province: Chang Pao Wen ,
Guo Yin Chun and Yang Chao bin
As all the donations for this charity
event were made into non cash donations in the form of paintings,
children fun park facilities and crystals crafts therefore
Tanshi has yet to find sponsorship for the publication of an exclusive
catalogue for the donated artworks. Initially, the plan was to
published a book with images of the donated artwork and poems.
